Southold Varsity Cheerleaders:
Annual "Future Cheerleaders Camp"
Southold High School gymnasium, Oaklawn Avenue, Southold
"The camp is open to girls and boys entering grades
K-6. Activities include cheers, tumbling, dance and more.
The camp is a fundraiser for the squad to help them get
to compete at National Competition."
Fee: $125, which includes a tee shirt.

North Fork Riptide Football
Open to youths ages 7-11. Practices
begin in July and continue on Tuesdays, Thursdays &
Saturdays. Games begin in September on Saturdays or Sundays
at Greenport High School. No tryouts. Fee $125. Registration
is still open by calling 734-8221 or online at www.northforkfootball.com.
Peconic Panthers Football
Open to Southold township youths ages 7-12 years. Peconic
Panthers have been affiliated with Suffolk County PAL
for the past 21 years. No tryouts and new players are
welcome. Practices start in July at Tasker Fields in Peconic
and will be held on Tuesdays/Thursdays/Saturdays.
Registration fee: $150 (includes equipment, uniform, and

Riverhead P.A.L. Football
Open to youths ages 7 - 12 (November 15 is age cutoff).
Youths are placed in teams according to age and weight.
Practices begin in July, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
Games begin in September on Sundays. Travelling team,
transportation not provided. No tryouts necessary.
Fee is $75 for ages 7 & 8, $125 for ages 9 - 12 (includes
game jersey). Registration in April. Call the Riverhead

are all held at the outdoor rink on Peconic Lane in Peconic
(between Main Road and North Road). Players placed in

Village of Greenport Ice Hockey Program

Location: Mitchell Park Rink, Greenport
When: 9 week winter season
Broken into age groups
Equipment:
Players are responsible for their own gear as follows:
mandatory for youth and highly recommended for adults;
hockey helmet with full face guard, elbow and shin pads,
hockey gloves, ice hockey pants or inline girdle, hockey
ice skates, 2 jerseys (one light, one dark), and stick.
Shoulder pads and mouthguards are optional but recommended.
Format: Clinic and non check scrimmage play/youthPLAY/YOUTH.
Non-Check scrimmage play/adults
2008-09 Fees: full season cost per player $30 youth;
$60 adult

LaCrosse
Riverhead P.A.L. Lacrosse League
Open to boys and girls in 3rd - 8th grade. Practices start
in March on Tuesdays and Thursdays, season ends in June.
Traveling team, games on Sundays. Players must provide
their own equipment, P.A.L. provides the uniform. Registration
fee is $55. Registration is in February. For more info

North Fork Lacrosse Club
The NFLC is open to boys and girls of all playing abilities
in grades K - 8. The NFLC offers instruction in skill
techniques and game strategy and provides each grade level
team a complete schedule of games in the spring. The NFLC
offers a summer lacrosse camp for boys in grades K - 8
which will take place from June 29 - July 3, 2009 from
9:00am - 1:00pm at Strawberry Fields. The camp is staffed
by college lacrosse players and youth league coaches as
well. The cost is $75.00 per person. The NFLC will also
be offering fall and winter developmental opportunities
for 2009. More information about the camp, regular season,

Mattituck Summer League
The North Fork Soccer Club offers a summer soccer
intramural league available to kids ages 4 to 12 (based
on calendar year) living in Laurel, Mattituck, Cutchogue,
and New Suffolk town. Games are played twice a week at
the Aldrich Field in Mattituck. The league is co-ed and
divided into 4 age groups. The league starts just after
the 4th of July and runs through the second week of August.
An MLS professional soccer trainer works with each team
two or three times during the season (in lieu of a game).
