How does advertising work on NorthForkParents?

On NorthForkParents, parents are looking for information and connections. Parents appreciate the resource. Make sure your information is included on this website if you offer services or products to local and visiting families! By advertising on our most trafficked pages or on those most related to your business or organization, you'll make a great impression.

There are two kinds of advertisements available on NorthForkParents, banner ads and listings. You can chose which pages you'd like your banner ad or listing displayed on.

Banner Ads: Our designer can create a banner ad for you, or your designer can send us one. The ad's specs are generally 152pi wide x 172pi high and may be in full color. Other sizes are available.

A listing: is informational, but advertising elements may be added, such as an adjacent banner ad, links, and more. Listings are available in basic and expanded versions and are compiled based on a brief survey.

How many parents will see my ad?

Considering our relatively small geographic region, our site traffic is strong. Site statistics show that 2,500 to more than 5,000 parents use NorthForkParents each month, and these parents are viewing an average of about 2,500 pages per day. The site gets 60,000 to over 80,000 "hits" per month (one "hit" is when a user accesses one file on a site), and growing! More than 700 visitors subscribe to our weekly enewsletter. Our Summer Camp Guide is downloaded thousands of times each year.

How much does it cost to advertise on the site?

It costs only $25/month for a banner ad on most pages of the site. Exceptions are the Home page and the enewsletter, which each cost more due to significantly higher traffic. The Home page costs $50/month. Each enewsletter costs $25.

Any business that does not yet have a webpage of its own may get a basic webpage on the NorthForkParents site for $20/month. The webpage may include up to one page of key information, text and images.

As incentives, advertisers get a 10% discount for each of the following:
- advance payment for three months or more
- advertising on more than one page
- advertising for a full year

What kinds of payment are accepted?

NorthForkParents accepts checks or credit card payments via secure PayPal payment. Advertisers do not need to have a PayPal account to use a credit or debit card.

Can I make changes to the ad?

Yes. Updates can be made to text monthly at no additional charge, upon request.
