Almost Homemade Egg Nog
from Paula Croteau of Southold*
2 Quarts Eggnog
1/2 tsp fresh Nutmeg
1/2 tsp fresh Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Vanilla
1 tsp Orange Zest
1Cup Heavy Cream
2 Tb Sugar
Orange Zest to garnish
1 Cup Brandy, Cognac or Rum (optional)
3 Frozen (clove studded) Clementine's or Oranges
In a punch bowl, add eggnog, spices, vanilla &
orange zest. Gently stir. In a separate bowl, using a handheld mixer,
whip heavy cream w/ 2 Tb sugar until in forms soft peaks. Set aside.
Stir brandy into eggnog. Dollop w/whipped cream. Top w/ orange zest
& grated nutmeg. Yum!
