What:
Geocaching: small caches are hidden
all over the North Fork. In fact, they're hidden all
over the world! It's an international hide and seek
that leads you to some amazing places that someone wants
you to see. But shhhhh! They're sort of a secret!
When you find a cache, the rule is,
take something if you like but add something back, too.
So you should bring along some small trinkets or toys
or collectibles. See the Geocaching web site for more
info, details, and disclaimers!
Also, do it discretely so that no "muggles"
see you doing it, or they might rob the cache!
Bring a pen or a pencil so you can
record your name in the cache.

All over the North Fork!
Directions:
Go to the Geocaching web site, sign up for a free account,
and follow the directions and hints.
Why:
This is a great way to get
the whole family outdoors and interested in the scenery.
It's also a great way to learn about longitude and latitude,
maps, geography, and the local terrain. Caches range
from easy to difficult.
