East End Arts Council Announces Spring Classes
A new lineup of art, theatre and music classes at the East End Arts Council School of the Arts has been announced. The Winter/Spring 2010 class brochure is available with a comprehensive selection for adults and children, including many classes in watercolor painting, acrylic and oil painting as well as drawing, plus interesting spring seasonal offerings that focus on the garden and outdoors. New classes for adults include rughooking, paper making, mask-making, and plein-air painting. For kids, digital photography, Anime/Manga cartooning and mixed media art tap into popular art forms children may not have a chance to explore on their own or in school. An extensive list of music offerings includes Suzuki group violin, group guitar, Chamber Ensemble, NYSSMA Prep workshops, Music Composition and more. And, in the performing arts, theatre for kids continues with two new classes.
“The School of the Arts at the East End Arts Council has a distinguished roster of faculty members who are professional artists and musicians with proven teaching abilities,” said Art School Director Maggie Kritsberg. Classes deliver quality, in-depth art and music experiences in a friendly setting. The school offers small class sizes, professional instructors, and over 30 years of expertise in producing arts, theatre and music programs for the local community.
