Arts Fundraising Party

The organization that brings the arts to everyone on the East End is having a Summer Fundraiser Casino Night on Saturday, June 20, 8:00-11:00pm at Martha Clara Vineyards, 6025 Sound Avenue, Riverhead.

Tickets are $75/person, which includes $100 in gambling chips, food, wine and fun! Play for prizes. Bid in the silent auction for 10 beautifully handcrafted doors suitable for use as an interior door or a piece of art. Music by George Tebbitt and a comedy show.

Meet Our Local Collegiate Baseball Teams

Mark and Karen Heppner, as a host family for the Hamptons Collegiate Baseball League, invite the community to meet the Riverhead Tomcats and the North Fork Ospreys!

Monday, June 15th  from 6:00 – 8:00pm at 32470 Main Road (corner of Main Road and Harbor Lane), Cutchogue.

2009 Teeny Award Winners Announced

The East End Arts Council, founder of the groundbreaking high school theatre recognition program fondly known as the Teeny Awards© (modeled after the Tony Awards) has announced its 2009 winners.

All participating East End high school theatre productions have been attended by a select panel of judges, who evaluated students based on specific dramatic skills criteria, which the schools were provided with in early Fall.

A formal awards ceremony took place on Sunday, June 7th at the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center. With support from the East End business community, award winners were recognized for their hard work and dedication to theatre arts.

And the winners were… on the Art & Culture page!

School’s Almost Out: 2009 Summer Camp Guide

North Fork Lacrosse Club Announces 2009 Registrations & Programs

North Fork Lacrosse Club (NFLC) is open to boys and girls of all playing abilities in grades K – 8. The NFLC offers instruction in skill techniques and game strategy and provides each grade level team a complete schedule of games in the spring.

The NFLC offers a summer lacrosse camp for boys in grades K – 8 which will take place from June 29 – July 3, 2009 from 9:00am – 1:00pm at Strawberry Fields. The camp is staffed by college lacrosse players and youth league coaches as well. The cost is $75.00 per person.

The NFLC will also be offering fall and winter developmental opportunities for 2009. More information about the camp, regular season, or off-season programs can be obtained by contacting Ken Marlborough at 734-5458 or email marlborough@optonline.net.

Lyrical Children Announces Registration for 2009 Summer Semester

Lyrical Children is accepting registration for the six week Summer Semester of Music Together® which begins July 6th.

“This research-based, international program engages children from newborns through 5-year-olds and the grownups who love them in music and movement activities that are developmentally appropriate.”
